This year the Proway Colt 45’s 18U Showcase Team and one (1) of its 16U teams will play in the newly formed Southern Elite Baseball League in tournaments around the States of Texas and Louisiana. This league is high level select baseball competition where the tournaments will be heavily attended by college coaches and pro scouts. If you feel that you are strong enough to compete on that level, please come and let us know you are interested in trying out for one of those teams! If you want to play college baseball, this is a fantastic opportunity!

These try-outs are also for both the “regular select” summer tournament teams, as described above, as well as for the Junior Olympics team to be held in West Palm Beach, Florida, on June 19-27, 2009. Players born May 1, 1992, or later are eligible to play on this team.

Please bring a copy of your birth certificate, if the Proway Colt 45’s high school organization does not already have it. Also, we will require at least one (1) parent for any player under the age of 18 years old to be present at the try-outs to sign the appropriate paperwork.

 

Existing Proway Colt 45’s players should also attend this try-out for team placement (other than the May, 2009, graduates that played for the Proway Colt 45’s during 2008).

 

There will be a $20 try-out fee. The try-outs will be conducted by Sid Holland and his coaching staff.
